The Trail

Here is our planned route. Maybe you are wondering why I decided on this nearly 1400 Kilometer tour. For years I have been passing a sign outside of Nürnberg pointing toward Prague and Paris, and I knew one day I would do it. Well this year my son is strong enough to handle it, so that was the decision. I have been adding hotels, bike shops, sights, and yes even camp grounds to my map so I will have as much information available at the touch of a finger. Well, that is if technology doesn't fail me. I would have to carry way too many maps, so no paper backup. I did download the track, and made a list of all the towns we need to ride through. I figured that way if we do get lost we could find our way to the next town, and get back on track there. Apparently signs are few and far between outside of Germany, Yikes.

The Packing Has Begun

The packing has begun for this summer's adventure. One week before we fly, and another couple weeks before the biking begins. This year the Pan Europa Radweg. This tour runs from Paris to Prague. We will be doing a flip flop version starting in Prague, heading to Strasbourg, then a week in Paris before we head back to Strasbourg.
